Certifications for the 2nd Quarter 2010 (Windows 7)

During Q2/2010 we have tested 19 security products in the areas protection, repair and usability. 13 products have fulfilled our requirements and received an AV-Test certificate. The test reports can be found here.
KES (Germany): Test of virtual UTM appliances

The malware protection and the performance of virtual UTM appliances (Unified Threat Management) were evaluated in detail for the German KES magazine (issue June 2010, pages 24 to 33). This test is the result of the close cooperation of the Steinbeis Transferzentrum and AV-Test GmbH. The following products were included in this review: Astaro Security Gateway, Collax Security Gateway, Endian Firewall Software Appliance, Gateprotect xUTM Virtual Appliance, Kerio WinRoute Firewall and XnetSolutions SX-Gate.

A comparison test of the free of charge AV products Avast, AVG, Avira, Comodo, Microsoft, Panda, PC Tools and Rising was published by c't and performed in close cooperation with AV-Test. The results can be found in the printed c't issue 12/2010 on pages 90 to 99.
